ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

The Advisory Board Member works in partnership with Food Justice Coalition Staff and organization to provide valuable insights into industry trends, business performance, and corporate matters, aiding in the organization’s strategic decisions.

Position Description & Expectations

• Holds a position as a member of the Advisory Board.
• Demonstrates commitment by attending at least 75% of Advisory Board meetings and other pertinent gatherings.
• Engages actively in committee assignments, volunteering for tasks and completing them thoroughly and punctually.
• Remains knowledgeable about committee affairs, adequately prepares for meetings, and provides feedback on minutes and reports.
• Fosters collaboration among committee peers, fostering a harmonious working environment conducive to fulfilling the mission of Food Justice Coalition.
• Contributes actively to the annual evaluation and strategic planning initiatives of the nominating committee.
• Secures financial support totaling $500 from organizations, grants, event sponsorships, ticket sales, or individual donations.
• Represents a distinct demographic perspective to ensure comprehensive inclusivity.
• Assumes a leadership role in fundraising endeavors.
• Participates in at least one Advisory Board Committee.
• Agrees to a two-year term of service.
